C’est un ouvrage exceptionnel que beaucoup surnomment “La Bible de la langue française.” J’admets que son prix est assez élevé mais il sera, je crois, un bon investissement. Pour vous donner un exemple, l’autre jour, je me demandais si l’expression “après que” est suivi du subjonctif ou de l’indicatif. Et c’est dans “Le bon usage” que j’ai trouvé la réponse.

For those of you who have to write in French, I strongly recommend Maurice Grevisse’s “Le bon usage,” outstanding piece of work, which a lot of people nicknamed “the Bible of the French language.” I admit that its price is quite high, but I think it will be a good investment.
